darknessfalls21 Very classy of you at the Junos. Amazingly unselfish gesture in lieu of your acceptance speech. You just made a new fan and 2 purchases of your music.
There is so much darkness in our past, its so hard to even know how to begin to address it. Keeping it out in the open, continuing discussions is a step in the right direction. All the best. Ps Think of Peterborough when you start gigging again.
Curtis Tiegs

Curtis Tiegs Crown Lands, to borrow a quote from the Hives, is your new favourite band. These two young men are two of the nicest and humble rock titans I have ever met. They came to town Friday night and brought with them the sounds of pure rock n' roll. Would you like to know what they sound like? They sound like mother fucking Crown Lands. When you go to see one of their blistering sets you may just be impregnated with a baby made of the best raw rock to hit town. Scientists have yet to explain all of the knocked up guys that have seen this band live (I welcome my Little Rock n' Roll baby, I painted it's room orange) but acknowledge the phenomenon. They're a DIY band from Oshawa that can make the trees dance for them. If you get the chance, go see this two piece (you'd swear it's a full band) before they explode and start playing over priced festivals.

Being Right 02:52
Hey baby I like the way you make me feel Cut me open, strip me bare Huh well, how wrong I was Don't you hate being right Hey baby I like the looks you steal Got me stumblin' around Ahah now, how wrong you were Don't you hate being right In the light of dawn The sun shines through And I hear the birds And they call my name! Don't you hate being right?!

Mantra 02:37
I'm the mantra you speak at night I'm the evil shakin' inside You can taste it, spins on a dime I'm the thing you can't hide I'm the ocean deep in your mind Try to swim back to better times You can feel it, I watch you sigh Come and free your mind I'm the leech that's sucking your blood Try to take me when you're hollow inside You can swim now, I won't bite Babe, it's fight or flight I'm the Mantra you speak at night I'm the evil shakin' inside You can taste it, spins on a dime I'm the thing you can't hide!

Sweet Avalon 02:26
Dancing 'round in circles Sing my earthen song On this mountain high for you So can't you hear it? The cries of the river- And it melts into my eyes Waiting on you girl How sweet in the winter sun Won't you come with me? My Sweet Avalon Too weak To scratch the skin Cause my lovin's meek And I'm singin' it all wrong now Well something's botherin' me Y'know I left my home 'Cause all those little sweet things Have dried and come undone Girl I've gotta go now Hale's come to Bopp Don't want to be alone now Seconds from the drop How sweet in the winter sun Won't you come with me? My Sweet Avalon Too weak To scratch the skin Cause my lovin's meek And I'm singin' it all wrong now How sweet in the winter sun Won't you come with me My Sweet Avalon Can't seem to ever win The love I seek Cause I'm singin it all wrong Can't seem to ever win The love I seek Cause I'm singin it all wrong How sweet in the winter sun Won't you come with me My sweet Avalon Can't seem to ever live The life I seek And I'm singin it all wrong now

Give me one good reason For me to stay, yea One good reason Or I'm walking away The future holds a promise Loving holds the key The future holds a promise For you and me Let your ego die And your spirit fly You can't turn back You can never turn back There is light in the darkness It's up to you to prove And all light in your darkness Must internally do Let your ego die And your spirit fly Oh you can't turn back You can never turn back No!

There's a cold front moving in It's a shame, the things we're living in There's a boy on the corner - he wears no black shoes He sways to the rhythm of the rhythm and blues I can feel it in my bones I know it's time to go home You rise to great the new day sun You face each day like a loaded gun It's you or me son: take your pick Take your hate and swallow it Brothers and sisters I can hear your cries Like radio signals up in the sky Brothers and sisters I hear your moans... So far from our home I can feel in my bones I know it's time to go home Scott Fitzgerald and ten black sheep Lost on the highway and need a place to sleep I can feel it in my bones I know it's time to go home
